We have paid particular attention to aesthetics and functionality during the design phase. These two factors are interdependent but we also wanted to maintain simplicity of form.

The nicest thing about Lekker boats is their speed. Super-fast if you choose one of the bigger engines. The Damsko 750 gives you the opportunity to choose the new fuel efficient and silent Mercruiser 3L, 135HP all the way up to the 6.2L, 350HP engine. If you choose the latter your Damsko 750 will have a top speed approaching 88kmh (47knots) – which is unheard of in the world of Sloops. It’s a strong piece of engineering because Lekker boats are not only fantastic in Amsterdam but wonderful on the some of the choppier waters of Sydney harbour.

The look of the console is quite similar to the Lekker Divine – we like the square sharp lines together with the simplicity – although a lot of improvements have been made. Not only do these improvements look good, but are very practical.

We’ve added grips on the console. The icebox functions as a draw. The top of the icebox can be used as a full worthy table, with bottle holders. Lots of storage for valuables like phones etc.

We’ve paid special attention to improving the handling characteristics. Lekker boats are not only used in Holland but also on the rougher seas in Australia. Aside from the goal of making the most comfortable boat we also wanted to create the fastest sloop ever built. To ensure the Damsko 750 has beautiful handling, at high speed, we have completely renewed the design of the hull.
